“ Humble establishment putting out some of the best Middle Eastern food I've ever had, and it's in Huddersfield? The lentil soup is the best I've had, the chicken samosa were so crispy but filled with juicy meat and amazing complex flavours, the kanafa dessert was crazy good, high quality ingredients used and very generous portions for everything I tried , I felt cheeky paying the bill as it was so cheap! “ Massively exceeded expectations. From the outside it looks like a convenience store which has a few tables for customers to eat in and, to be fair, it feels like that once you’re inside. But, the food was something that you would compare in any Middle Eastern type restaurant anywhere. The lentil soup is a staple in this type of establishment but the one from here was full of herbs and spices that go well with a little lemon twist that comes with it, light too and perfect for a starter along with some nice crunchy felafel which set us up for the rest of the meal. The samosas were super crispy with the filo type pastry and the filling was meaty but not dry. The kebabs were so moist but grilled at the same time. The tenderness of the meat was what stood out for these kebabs which is saying something as the flavour was exceptional. The dessert was kanafe and you need to catch this whilst it’s still piping hot to get a crazy cheese pull but make sure you’re ready for a nap afterwards. All in all, a great meal at a very modest location but definitely worth a visit. ”
